If you want to be a serious athlete you have to start dressing like one.
As I have gotten older, I have leaned away from the big logos and graphic designs for my athletic wear and am now geared towards the minimalist and fitted style. In this transition, my wife has also appreciated that I stopped going out the house wearing shirts from my freshman year of high school football. I will say the only con is that you are less likely to get that serendipitous moment when a stranger recognizes your high school shirt and you realize he is the guy who blind side blocked you in the state tournament.
Less is More
For me, socks are a glue for the outfit. They should mesh well with your shoes and compliment the color code of your uniform.
I always loved the quote "If you look good then you feel good. If you feel good then you play good."
I would just add a disclaimer to that quote that you need to understand what's trending if you want to look good.
In the activewear landscape of this current decade, I notice a lot of big brands are shifting to more minimal designs. They seem to be following the trend set by Lululemon who is famous for its high quality and discreet branding. It's almost like an easter egg hunt to find where their logo is on their items. Most brands think a big logo on their items is a necessity to get their grow their brand but Lululemon has shown the world that quality and function are enough to create a trustworthy reputation.
Soleramic's Discreet Branding
This was the inspiration for me to use discreet branding for Soleramic. There are no logos on the sleeves or tab of our socks. Just the timeless rib design and functional heel padding. Our branding and graphic identity are on the edge and bottom of the foot which is hidden by the shoe.
We are launching with just the color white right now because we believe white is the most classic and universal color for socks. However, you should get excited because there will be more color ways in the future in addition to our specialized leg sleeves that will make you look the best and feel the best.
